Location

We are located in the Historical El Jardin Courtyard (Est. 1925) in the heart of downtown Ventura, between California and Oak Streets.  Matiz has been in the same location for 19 years and counting!  The courtyard has many wonderful shops.  From jewlery (Ormachea), Lingerie (Kama Sutra Closet), Clothes & bikinis (Tiki Girl), Bakery (Sunflowers on the Square) &  Home Decor/Garden (Ma Maison) and more to come!  It's a great honor to be a part of the El Jardin!  Come visit us!

We have been in business for almost 20 years!  Our salon & staff offer an especially warm, inviting and relaxing experience. We have a professional, fun & talented group of stylists. We do all types of hair. All of our stylists specialize in both haircuts and hair coloring!  We are all well trained and educated with lots of experience from great mentors, stylists & educators from all over.  We strive to keep up the "highly recommended & word of mouth" way of advertising and are motivated to keep you looking your best with the latest styles, trends & color techniques.  We believe that continued education is key and try to give you as much consistancy as possible.

Our services include: Haircutting for Men & Women of all ages, Hair Color, Highlights, Brazilian Blowout Smoothing Treatment, Bio Ionic Straighteners, Styling & Up-do’s for special occasions, On-site Wedding hair is also available.

Our Products include: Aveda, *ENJOY* Haircare, Sudzz FX, Osis, Moroccanoil, Brazilian Blowout (after care) & Sultra BOMBSHELL curling rods.

We also carry TINT Hair Chalk!!!  Fun temporary color chalk for creating different color patterns for your ends.  Washes out in one washing.
